Provider is not bound by any fund mandates and invests opportunistically, however we prefer ideas that can be leveraged through software technology. Provider invests in Swedish companies with strong entrepreneurial leaderships.
Our investment process is extensive and takes time. We focus on B2B software investments, primarily in verticals where we have great knowledge from years of experience. Being active owners in our portfolio companies, we expect our investment period to endure over an average of at least 7-10 years.
The Story Of Provider
The Provider era started, already in the late 1980s when Johan Hernmarck founded Ledstiernan Utvecklings AB and started to invest into technology related companies with strong growth potential.
In 1997 Provider Venture Partners AB wad founded, being one of Sweden’s earliest venture capital companies focusing on tech investments.
The first of three IT Provider funds was raised in 1998. Provider has invested, directly or as an advisor from Provider Venture Partners to the IT Provider Funds, more than 3 billion SEK into more than 100 companies.
Provider has a profound experience of the Swedish Venture Capital Community and their advice is highly sought after on strategic and operating challenges within the venture community in Sweden.
